Spencers Estate Agents - Still selling houses in #Sheffield! 469 Ecclesall Road

Spencers Estate Agents of 469 Ecclesall Road have undergone some changes over recent months and have plenty more to come, all to improve the way that they sell houses in the city. Spencers Surveyors Limited had a property management and lettings portfolio, which was sold in March 2011 to Countrywide, who have since bought Blundells and rebranded the office next door on Ecclesall Road to be their letting HQ.
Spencers Estate Agents, who sell residential property and land in the city, have been taken over by Nicola Spencer, who is the daughter of Jim and Anne Spencer, founders of Spencers Estate Agents in 1993, and Lee Bullen, who is best known in the city as the ex-Captain of Sheffield Wednesday. The takeover by Lee and Nicola, who worked as a senior valuer and office manager at Spencers for twelve years running both the sales and letting department, has been timed to incorporate the much deserved retirement of Anne Spencer, who will leave in the New Year. Jim Spencer in the meantime is not so lucky, and will remain as a consultant to the company on a contract for the next two years.
“The time is right for a new generation with new ideas; iPads, iPhones, QR codes, new-fangled websites etc, to come in and take the company onwards with the same staff, same high quality of service, and a new and fresh enthusiasm.”Jim said, “I have worked as a surveyor and estate agent in the city for the last forty years and have contacts who know me and, hopefully, respect my business ethics. Nicola and Lee will be totally focused on maintaining and nurturing these relationships to make sure that the attention to detail and loyalty to these clients remains. We have always prided ourselves on a dignified and honest service to all of our contacts.”
Make no mistake, Nicola and Lee have all the right ideas about progressing the business, with technology at the forefront of their priorities; “having worked in the property industry in Edinburgh for the last three years I have seen so many changes and technological improvements in the way that companies focus their marketing and PR strategies” says Nicola, “whether we like it or not, the future is about making information available 24 hours a day for easy access to all in the most efficient and effective way. Blogs, social media, internet advertising and SEO analytics are of the highest importance.”
Lee Bullen, who has a degree in Sports Media and Journalism has already been using networking and contacts to get the message across that Spencers is here to stay and shall continue to be successful at selling houses in the south and south west of the city. During an appearance on Football Heaven on Radio Sheffield Lee spoke more with Seth Bennett about his new appointment in the city as a Captain of a different kind, “Spencers have a fantastic reputation in the city for selling houses and we can’t wait to do our best to continue the good work. All Spencers Estate Agents staff will remain working with us, including James Bridgland, our resident Sheffield United fanatic, still as our senior valuer.”
